St John's County Courthouse Wedding - Stephen and Ashley

BIG DAY = SMALL VENUE

We love seeing people join their lives and expressing themselves being true to who they are.  For Stephen and Ashley that meant joining their lives with each other and the ones that meant the most to them in their lives, their parents.  In 400 weddings this was our first at the local courthouse, but the sentiment was not lost.  Heck it may have been more impactful without the distractions so many couples endure on their wedding day.

"Stephen and I knew of each other for many years through mutual friends and occasional sightings, but never had the chance to get to know one another until October of 2015 when we got to chatting at a Florida/Georgia tailgate party thrown by some friends. I hadn't recalled him being so handsome and funny in brief meetings past, and he and I hit it off right away. We began dating after that and moved in together after just six months. I knew he was the man I would marry, so it was easy from that point. We started building homes together, moved into one of them at the beach, and decided marriage would be the obvious next step. Four months in and we are loving every minute of it!" Ashley said of her relationship with Stephen.

Part 2 of their big day was at a small hotel that has really made a splash on Atlantic Beach, The Hotel Palms.  A beautiful background with a casual vibe that was the perfect setting for an amazing band called The Junco Royals.  What a unique talent, this group was, I'd never seen anything like it at a wedding, and it was just perfect. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed being a part of their wedding.
