Mary and Jeremy (Jez) were married along the banks of the beautiful Saint Johns River at The Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville. They had perfect weather for their transatlantic wedding celebration on the roof of the Florida Yacht Club. This amazing couple's love brought guests together from both sides of the ocean to celebrate their day with them. The bride's brother Rich did an amazing job officiating the ceremony; as a wedding photographer, I have been to a few services (400+), and I have never laughed as hard as I did during Mary and Jeremy's nuptials! The vibe of the afternoon and evening was funny, grateful and joyful! What an honor I felt to be part of this day!

Let's hear a little bit about Mary and Jez's Love Story:

Their eyes first met in early 2014, across a grubby table in an old conference room at the Mayo Clinic. Having said that, it was during a lecture on Epigenetics so in all likelihood one or both of them had a glazed expression, if their eyes were even open. Either way, a common friendship group, a shared enjoyment of Trivia (Pub Quiz for the Brits), and the libations that entailed meant they soon became friends.

A group trip to the Florida Keys strengthened that friendship and pretty soon an evening of Rumple Minze-inspired Jez trying to stroke Mary's hair stirred something within her. That stirring reached its peak when she saw him helping to shift furniture into her new house and was dazzled by the sweat marks, red face, and domineering way he could move an overweight desk. Jez on the other hand didn't need much stirring, having long since decided he was pretty into Mary.

A few short weeks later things reached their natural conclusion...a kiss at a four-year old's birthday party, a first date, an immediate two-week breakup, a reconciliation based mostly around Ron Reese's insistence to each of them that the other wanted to give things a go (luckily it didn't take too long for him to be right) and they've been happily together ever since.

A surprise proposal during a ski-trip to Colorado in February brings us to this - the celebration of their wedding and the start of the rest of their lives together...
