He proposed marriage on a crisp winter day in historic St. Augustine during the Night of Lights, and she said yes!
The romantic and famous Night of Lights in St. Augustine has been named one of the top 10 places to see holiday lights in the world by National Geographic, what better place to propose your love and pop the question?
A lot of couples come to our romantic little city and get engaged and every year more guys planning a proposal hire me to photograph the proposal. I love helping with surprise proposal photography, and I enjoyed working with Brian on planning and capturing the moment of his proposal to Kelsey.
The Process: Brian and I planned a location and time. We communicated via text leading up to the moment; I had photos of the couple, so I knew who I was looking for, then I posted up on location and acted like any tourist taking photos of the lights... with a telephoto lens, I captured the moment from a few hundred feet away. After allowing the couple a bit of privacy from afar, I introduced myself and we spent some time getting some couple's portraits with the lights.
