ON A MISSION, AT THE MISSION

One of my favorite pieces of advice to my couples is “Make the day yours The size of the day isn’t what’s important, it’s that you spend that special day with the ones you love the most, on the most important day of your lives” And “Make it Theirs” is exactly what Kerry and Eddy did. they nuzzled there friends and family into a small historic church just outside of downtown Saint Augustine, in a beautiful little church.

So tell us about your day?

“One of our favorite parts of the day was our First Look. Amidst all the anticipation and excitement leading up to the ceremony, our First Look allowed us some time to enjoy ourselves and soak it all in, just the two of us. We also chose to have a small wedding with our closest family and friends and are so glad we did. Having loved ones surround us in a meaningful ceremony and relaxed reception gave us the chance to really enjoy each moment with all our guests without any added pressure . . . except maybe the first dance, but we nailed it! The best part though, was finally sealing the deal and becoming Mr. and Mrs. Torres!”

Could you tell us a little bit of your love story? “Six and a half years ago, we met over a mutual love we share: playing soccer. Kerry of course was the only girl on the field and had just graduated from Colgate University while Eddie was finishing up his degree at Nova Southeastern University. Over those summer months, we started a running competition for who could score the most goals per game. Naturally, Kerry won (Eddie will tell you otherwise) and as fate would have it, a lifelong friendship quickly formed and we've been together ever since. Along our journey together, our competitive natures became a foundation for always motivating each other to grow and learn, while having some fun along the way. From getting into law school and passing the Bar, first jobs, pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy, navigating the world of "adulting," and adopting our beloved fur child, Scout, many of our biggest life moments could have only been achieved together. We can't wait to see what the future holds for us, and above all, are grateful we get to experience it together.”
